1 serves as the county Emergency Operations Center, where county
decisionmakers can meet and share information in the event of an
emergency. Station 1 also serves as the Weather Operations Center,
Administration Building, Dispatch, and houses Fire and EMS apparatus,
as well as Hazardous Materials Response equipment. Also located at
Station 1 is the Mobile Command Post.

Station 8 opened on 19 September 2007.
Station 8 houses a fire engine and serves the Bellwood community,
as well as providing mutual aid for the Rock City Rome fire department.
